Status: Drabble
Word Count: 210
Summary: Sho Minamimoto, as Konishi had discovered, was oblivious to the meaning of "subtlety".

Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] drabbleday with prompt #308, "Fingertips". Here's to hoping I didn't butcher Sho and Konishi's characterization. XD;;;

Sho Minamimoto, Konishi had recently discovered, was, apparently, completely ignorant to the meaning of the word subtlety (which, really, came as no surprise with his barbaric behavior).

This conclusion, of course, had not been completely unfounded, there had been too many accidents (accidents here having the meaning of completely intentional incidents) for it to be a mere coincidence.

The first, of course, had been but a few weeks ago, wherein he had once again been late to a meeting (and, surprise, surprise, exactly nine minutes and forty-two seconds late); of course, it had been a mere accident when his fingertips had brushed against her thigh.

At the beginning, she had actually passed it off as a coincidence (because, artless fool or not, once was once). However, after the umpteenth time (and after he had become more… Daring, for lack of better word), it was starting to become vexing; she was no longer going to let this slide, his intentions had become unmistakable by now, after all.

Later during the day, Konishi could feel him following her, and she allowed it, moving with what seems to be an extra sway to her hips as she leads him into the streets of Shibuya and away from prying eyes, subtlety or no subtlety.

Title: Admit

Summary: They would never admit that.

Terrible: distressing; severe.

For him, terrible was being shot down by the Composer in the Udagawa Back Streets and being forced to retreat (like a pathetic factoring hectopascal) back into the Under Ground; terrible was being found by her in an dark, filthy alleyway with a bleeding shoulder (but nothing like the wound in his pride).

For her, terrible was being nine minutes and forty-two seconds late (such a severe offense, especially when made by a vexatious imbecile like him) and knowing exactly why he was late (she was there, was she not? Terrible was saying nothing and having to help him clean-up his mess.

…They would never admit that.

They were playing with fire, both of them

If you played with fire, you would get burned, and they both knew it.

You needed to be insane to go against the Composer, and they did not mind it, nor did they deny it.

He had already been burned (a shot to the shoulder; not so painful, had it not been in front of that radian, the Composer’s little “proxy”); she had yet to be burned (she was the perfect liar, never one to slip and always one to remember exactly where each lie fell).

They did not care.

Perhaps this was why he wanted to be Composer, and she wanted to be Conductor; they would not have it any other way.

(…over and over again.)

Title: Special
Fandom: The World Ends With You
Characters/Pairings: Sho Minamimoto/Mitsuki Konishi
Rating: PG-13
Status: Drabble
Word Count: 273
Summary: There was nothing "special" about him.
Disclaimer: I do not own The World Ends With You, Square Enix and Jupiter do. However, I do own this story.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] drabbleday with prompt #121, "See".

Mituski Konishi was never one to pay attention to the Reapers (much less such vexatious ones such as he), but when the Composer himself begins to pull some strings here and there and to grant special attention to one in specific, well…

Konishi had to see for herself what was oh-so special about them, to say the least.

She pursed her lips, pushing up her glasses as she observed (definitely not stalking) The Game in action from the shadows (always, always in the shadows; see her true form in broad daylight and you’d never live to tell the tale).

Sho Minamimoto; that was the name of the artless fool who the Composer had deemed worthy of his attention (and, in professional opinion, just another vexatious chimp who is not even worthy to look at the ground the Composer walks on, much less his attention), and also the name of the foolish Reaper before her.

Konishi narrows her eyes, quickly giving him a once-over as her mind takes in every single detail. Every single aspect of him screamed delinquent, from the way he was dressed right down to the psychotic (for there was no other word for it) grin plastered on his lips.

It takes all of Konishi’s will to suppress the urge to scoff as she turns on her heel, having long since decided that she had gathered enough data about him. The fact that the Composer and the Conductor had expressed special interest in this… This Reaper was beyond her, and it would always be.

Even if she had come to see with her own eyes what was so special about him.

Title: Wonder

Word Count: 258
Summary: It is then, in a moment of epiphany, that Konishi remembers why.

Sometimes, Konishi wondered why she even bothered to keep him around.

Such a vexatious fool (or as he would put it, radian; but she would not stoop down to his level in an attempt to see if the fool could comprehend his own language)was not even worthy of her time, much less the Composer’s. Even with such high calcifications (a mere fluke, perhaps. There was no other logical explanation as to why an imbecile like him became an Officer), all he would ever be useful for was wrecking chaos and advancing her goals her goals, and even then, even that vexatious traitor (Daisukenojo Bito, if she recalls correctly; learning the names of such fools was not her job) was much more superior to him in her eyes.

(Because, really now, anything dealing with him was--)

Yet, none of that stopped either of them from (--direct contact. Lunging at every weak spot they would see, and touching, touching, touching) socializing. Cooperation was garbage (or so he claimed), but then again, this wasn’t cooperation, for the mere thought of even agreeing with him was enough to cause her to taste bile in her mouth.

…But then, what happens to all of that when he’s on top of her, straddling her hips and muttering unintelligible mathematical terms beneath his breath as she hooks her legs around his waist, biting her back her tongue--

(No, she would not say. No, no. She would rather give up than to say it.)

It is then that, in a moment of epiphany, Konishi remembers why.
